The Christian Science Organization at the University of Virginia
The Christian Science Organization at the University of Virginia meets weekly during the academic year. It is located 1961 Lewis Mountain Road.
For the fall semester of 2011, we are meeting on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in our building at 1961 Lewis Mountain Road.
The purpose of the CSO at UVA:
- To afford the University community with the opportunity to learn the truth about Christian Science, a religion based on the regular study of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, Discover and Founder of Christian Science;
- To welcome Christian Scientists entering the University, and to unite in closer bonds of Christian fellowship all students and members of the faculty who are interested in Christian Science;
- To hold regular meetings for the members of the Organization and all others of the University community who are interested; and
- To awaken the members of this Organization to the active expression of church in the University community.
